VMS Annual Fund

The VMS Annual Fund supports enhancements to our programs that we would not be able to realize through tuition dollars alone. The more we each contribute, the more we can provide in special programs and initiatives that will benefit our programs.

Our ambitious goal is to consistently work to make Valley Montessori School the best school it can possibly be. Tuition dollars pay for the programs we offer, and to add important exciting enhancements, we need your charitable support. Your gifts help us enrich our programs and the experiences we are able to offer the children.

Help us reach our goal of $110,000 which will allow us to launch a new "Summer Grants for Teachers" program!

As always our funding priorities build on last year’s accomplishments and include:

	Teacher Professional Development Enrich our exceptional teachers by providing more access to workshops and inspiring educational speakers. We strive to increase training in using technology to develop 21st Century skills, provide curriculum development to support gardening with the children and more resources to educate diverse minds. NEW: We are launching a new "Summer Grants for Teachers" program!
	Technology Advancement Enhance Technology at VMS by adding Smart Boards in more classrooms, adding more AV equipment, and increasing our internet capacity to allow us to introduce video conferencing with schools in other countries.
	The Edible Schoolyard Program Continue expanding our garden to include fruit trees, native plants, trellises for shade and a greenhouse. We also plan to incorporate chickens into our garden space to provide fresh eggs in addition to the fruits, vegetables and herbs that the children are cultivating.
	Tuition Assistance Build support for increasing economic diversity at VMS. Currently 11% (up from 8%) of VMS families are receiving tuition assistance funds, and we can continue to increase that number with your support. This continues to be a growing need of both new and current families.

It all adds up! 
Last year 100% of our teachers and staff participated! We ask that all past, present and future families follow their lead. Your generous participation is very important. Each family's situation is different, so gifts range from $10 to $10,000. Consider the monthly option to increase your gift. Every gift is important and is deeply appreciated.

Your gift encourages additional external support 
Strong parent participation in our Annual Fund, encourages grantors to also support VMS. Your gift sends an important message that you believe in the mission and programs of our school, and also allows for us to provide a quality, child-centered education for every VMS student. 

Contributions have the potential to generate matching funding 
Many employers provide matching funding opportunities that could double your gift to VMS.
