Giving of time, talent and financial support
Valley Montessori School has enjoyed a history of successful fundraising and volunteerism. Past and current parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends have given generously of their time and financial resources to support the needs of the school. VMS relies on this ongoing philanthropic support to maintain the excellence of its education. As always, Valley Montessori School's mission is the basis for all of our fundraising efforts.
Hisorically, VMS has held two main fundraising events each year: Our Annual Giving Campaign, and the wonderfully entertaining Annual Gala and Auction in the spring. The next Gala will be held on March 27, 2010 - Save the Date!
New this year, in honor of Mary Ellen's 30th year at VMS, our Board of Directors has created a new scholarship fund in her name.
For more information or to make a donation visit the Mary Ellen Kordas Scholarship Fund page.
As at other schools, we encourage our families, alumni and friends to use the VMS eScrip program. Fundraising is viewed as a critical form of parent involvement. Gifts to VMS directly benefit our students and faculty, improve our facilities, and help us keep tuition lower than it would otherwise be. Everyone is invited to help however they can - by contributing their talents, time, and resources to help us provide for the children. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our community.
Questions about fundraising and development can be addressed to our Development Director, Elizabeth Brice at 455-8021 x212 or vmsdevelopment@valleymontessorischool.com.
