The Journey and Discovery - April 23 & 24, 2010

The Journey and Discovery event was a great success!

I would like to share a few comments from the participants:

   · “ I wanted to stay for a longer time in each classroom”
   · “The learning opportunities were very deep, but not overwhelming.  A child can take their learning as far as they want.”
   · “The experience answered many questions I had regarding Montessori education.”
   · “ I was amazed by the preparation the young child has in Toddler and Primary and better understand the importance of the Montessori  way.”
   · “ I wish I had been in a Montessori Program as an Elementary and Middle School student.  I now know I want this for my child!”

The next Journey and Discovery will be offered October 8th and 9th 2010.  Click here for more detailed information about the event.

Why Montessori Education?

Montessori Madness! A Parent to Parent Argument for Montessori Education

We know we need to improve our traditional school system, public and private. But how? More homework? Better qualified teachers? Longer school days or school years? More testing? More funding? No, no, no, no, and no. Montessori Madness! explains why the incremental steps politicians and administrators continue to propose are incremental steps in the wrong direction. The entire system must be turned on its head. This book asks parents to take a look – one thirty-minute observation – at a Montessori school. Your picture of what education should look like will never be the same. www.montessorimadness.com
